Buttermilk scones

2-3tbsp
Buttermilk plus a little for brushing
225g
Self raising flour
1 pinch
Salt
75g
Butter
40g
Golden castor sugar
1
Large egg (beaten)















Method


1.     Sift the flour & salt ,rub in the bitter until like breadcrumbs
2.     Add the sugar
3.     Beat the egg & 2tbsp of buttermilk together add the flour to the mixture
4.     Roll out to about 1 inch thick, cut out the scones, brush with buttermilk& dust with the flour
Bake for approx 10-12 mins
