2-3tbsp | Buttermilk plus a little for brushing |
225g | Self raising flour |
1 pinch | Salt |
75g | Butter |
40g | Golden castor sugar |
1 | Large egg (beaten) |

Method
1. Sift the flour & salt ,rub in the bitter until like breadcrumbs
2. Add the sugar
3. Beat the egg & 2tbsp of buttermilk together add the flour to the mixture
4. Roll out to about 1 inch thick, cut out the scones, brush with buttermilk& dust with the flour
Bake for approx 10-12 mins
